Today, I want to talk about one of the most asked questions, “Can I take protein supplements to grow my breasts?”
My initial reaction to this question every single time is, “I guess…but why would you want to do that???”
If you’ve read through my blog posts or follow me on Instagram, you probably already know that I put utmost importance on daily protein intake for our natural breast enlargement journey. I have mentioned in various places that having a low daily protein intake means negligible additional breast growth, whether you massage your breasts or not.
So it’s natural to wonder if you can simply take the protein supplement.
I don’t think there is a right or wrong answer to this, but I do have some strong and maybe biased opinions, so read on to decide whether it is the right choice or not for yourself.
Protein and its role in your health:
Protein is one of the three macronutrients, along with fat and carbohydrates. Macronutrients are required in our daily diet in large quantities to provide our bodies with energy.
Proteins are especially important for the growth, development, and repair of body tissues such as muscles, skin, nails, and hair. Protein is also the building block of hormone production which regulates various bodily functions for metabolism, growth, and reproduction.
They can be found in foods such as meat, poultry, fish, eggs, dairy products, and legumes.
Minimum daily protein requirement for your health:
Did you know that there is a daily minimum protein requirement?
The requirements for adults vary based on factors such as age, weight, pregnancy, and level of physical activity. A commonly cited reference established by the National Academy of Medicine states that we should aim for at least 0.8g per kilogram of our weight as sedentary adults.
Keep in mind that these recommendations are the minimum amounts needed to prevent deficiencies and maintain basic health. If you are an active individual who engages in various physical activities, you should consume more than the minimum to support bodily recovery and growth…and in our case, to grow bigger breasts naturally!
Importance of protein in natural breast growth:
Before I started my natural breast enlargement journey, I read through numerous peer-reviewed scientific papers on natural breast development of model organisms. Many of them touched on the importance of protein, and I was sold on the idea that this may actually work for humans too.
So I went and (creepily) observed women with big breasts to see what they were eating. After much observation, I was convinced that the amount of protein-rich foods they consumed was indeed the main factor, which confirmed my newly-found belief in the importance of protein in our natural breast growth.
After all, protein is necessary for the growth and development of our bodily tissues, so why not for the breast tissue?

How much protein do I need to increase breast size naturally?
Aim between 80-100g of protein every day. If you’re a vegetarian or a vegan, aim for around 110g, as the plant-based protein does not get absorbed by your body as efficiently as animal-based protein.
After realizing the importance of consistent protein intake for natural breast development, I needed to have a specific daily goal to aim for. My minimum daily protein requirement was around 39g, according to the previous calculation. I also visited numerous workouts and bodybuilding websites to see how much daily protein they suggested for my body. They ranged anywhere between 80g to upper 200g.
Therefore, I recommend between 80-100g per day, which is attainable and still within what the bodybuilders recommended. This range has worked for me and all of my readers who have had success. I also had many readers who aimed for around 65g of protein, but none of them had much growth, if at all.
Can I take protein supplements for natural breast enlargement?
It is completely natural to think of reaching the daily amount of 80-100g (110g for vegetarian/vegan) with a protein supplement. After all, this means about 4 to 5 scoops of protein powder per day, and that seems easy enough to attain the daily goal instead of planning and preparing your protein-rich meals.
So can you take it?
Sure, if you want, as long as you keep it as a “supplement” and not as a main source of nutrition.
Will it naturally grow your breasts?
I’m not sure because I’ve never tried it, but most likely, yes.
However, here are a few points why I am not too keen on the idea of taking the protein supplements:
Supplements should “supplement” what you lack in your diet after putting in enough effort, but not “replace” what you’re supposed to consume from whole foods. Using supplements as a source of nutrition is very dangerous for your health.
Protein supplements lack the other essential nutrients, such as vitamins, minerals, and fibers, that you would otherwise be simultaneously getting from whole foods. These nutrients are vital to your overall health, as well as have indirect connections to our natural breast growth.
Supplements in the US are not regulated by the FDA. This means that the companies can claim whatever they want about their products without the actual product being what they claim to be. They may not have the promised protein amount, or they may even contain harmful additives and chemicals.
Protein supplements oftentimes have added sugars that can pack on calories, resulting in unwanted and unnecessary weight gain.
You may accidentally over-consume protein for your body, which could again result in unwanted weight gain (yes, protein has calories too!) and even put a strain on your kidneys and liver.
Why diminish the enjoyment of dining by just taking some powders???
Real-life inspirations:
Ooh la la!
Did you know that actors like Chris Hemsworth (Thor in the Marvel movies), Hugh Jackman (Wolverine in the X-Men series), and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson actually primarily eat REAL food?
With so many toned-but-slender-and-petite fitness influencers constantly recommending you to take protein supplements to achieve bodies like theirs, you would think that these huge actors must load up on protein supplements day in and day out.
I never gave it much thought until I saw an article about how Chris Hemsworth gained his muscles by eating actual food!!! …And LOTS of it! Then soon after, I read about how his stunt double has difficulty keeping up with the diet to stay big because eating has become a daily chore rather than enjoyable meals.
After reading various articles on these actors’ diets, they all seem to consume some form of protein supplement. However, it is always strongly emphasized that the basis of their daily protein intake comes from whole food sources and that protein supplements are used as just that…as “supplements.”
If these actors can achieve such bodies mainly by consuming whole foods, working towards improving OUR basic diet to increase a little more protein without any supplement certainly seems attainable, in my opinion.
What if you still want to take protein supplements for your breast growth?
We all have a reason or another why we can’t eat real food and must depend on protein supplements.
If I had to choose a protein supplement for myself, I would go for something with the least amount of additives with natural ingredients. It’s because I like simple, natural, organic, and clean eating whenever possible.
Here are a few supplements that I haven’t tried yet, but am inclined to try in the future if I must:
Wrapping it up:
My personal breast enlargement journey originally focused on getting bigger breasts as the ultimate goal. But in the process, I realized that my small breasts were due to a lack of self-care and neglected health. Now my method advocates that natural breast enlargement should simply be a bonus byproduct of healthier habits.
From this standpoint, just taking some protein supplements to reach the desired daily amount does not appeal to me personally. I do not want to promote it, especially as a quick fix, as I want all of us to take care of our bodies. Better health comes from what we put in our mouths, and nothing beats whole foods in terms of nutrition!
So to take the protein supplements or not to increase your breast size naturally? Now the choice is yours. I’ve said my (rather super long) piece, no judgment on my part!
