In the Yumi's Pantry series, I talk about natural breast enhancement foods and recipes I personally found helpful for growing and maintaining beautiful breasts. The occasional healthy snacks and junk foods are also a must to keep me happy during my breast growth journey!
Today, I want to share with you my first experience with edamame spaghetti pasta from Seapoint Farms.
In the past couple of years, I have seen a rise in the popularity of bean pasta. They are pasta made from bean flour instead of the traditional pasta made from processed flour. I have tried chickpea pasta and lentil pasta but stopped exploring other bean pasta from various brands. My husband and I are creatures of habit and had found 365 Organic Mung Bean Fusilli. 365 brand is a Whole Foods private label.
Right when we were experiencing a toilet paper shortage due to Covid-19 back in March, we went grocery shopping for the week. We happened to plan a bolognese sauce with our usual 365 mung bean pasta. When we got to Whole Foods, the shelves of canned foods and dried pasta were pretty close to being empty, and we could not find our beloved pasta!
So we took the opportunity to try out a new brand, new beans, and a new type of pasta. In a nutshell, we're thrilled that we did…4 months after its initial purchase!
What is edamame, and how do you eat it?
Edamame beans are immature soybeans that are harvested while they are still green in color. When they mature, they become soybeans in the color of light brown to tan. They are an excellent plant-based protein source and are high in fiber, vitamins and minerals, and low in saturated fat. The most common way to prepare edamame beans in Japan is to boil the whole pods in salted water or salt them after boiling. They are served as an appetizer alongside ice-cold beers. It's like eating peanuts with beers in the US. Kids also love eating edamame because it's entertaining to see the beans pop out of the pods!
You can also sprinkle edamame beans in your salad. Bake them. Put them in your fried rice. Make edamame cupcakes. Edamame patties. The only limit is your imagination!

Does isoflavones (phytoestrogen!) in edamame increase breast size naturally?
If you're not a novice at researching "how to grow bigger boobs naturally," you know that there are various "methods" to increase your breast size. One of them is by consuming food items rich in phytoestrogen.
Phytoestrogen is a plant-derived compound "that may have weak estrogenic effects when they are ingested and metabolized," according to CDC.
Isoflavones are a type of phytoestrogens mainly found in legumes, especially in soy. Any soy products will have a varied amount of isoflavones.
According to a chart compiled by Oregon State University, a 1/2 cup of shelled edamame has 16.1mg of isoflavones. It is also noted in here that:
Average dietary isoflavone intakes in Japan, China, and other Asian countries range from 25 to 50 mg/day. Dietary isoflavone intakes are considerably lower in Western countries. Twenty-four-hour dietary recall data collected from 36,037 individuals in 10 countries (participating in the EPIC study) showed average isoflavone intakes to be lower than 1 mg/day. Compared to other European countries, the isoflavone intake was slightly higher in the British general population (2.3 mg/day) and health-conscious cohort (19.4 mg/day).
Consuming just a 1/2 cup of edamame beans can significantly boost your daily isoflavone intake.
However, what this study tells me is that natural breast growth and development are not a result of, or even highly-depend on, the amount of ingested isoflavone. It is a well-known fact that Asian countries continue to dominate the world in the daily consumption of soy and soy-related products. Still, Asian women are not typically famous for having a big breast size.
So my conclusion is, no, consuming isoflavones alone will not guarantee bigger boobs.
But don't get disappointed! There's something else in this pasta that will!
What is edamame spaghetti pasta?
Edamame spaghetti pasta is just as its name suggests …it's a pasta made out of soybean flour. It is the only ingredient listed in this particular edamame spaghetti I tried this time from Seapoint Farms. This edamame pasta is a vegan and gluten-free food item.
This pasta is also nutrient-dense and super easy to prepare. You bring water to a boil, toss in the pasta, cover with a lid, turn off the heat and wait for 3-4 minutes. Drain. DONE!
Why is edamame spaghetti good for natural breast growth?
I emphasize the importance of nutrition, especially protein, to increase our breast size naturally.
Protein is responsible for the growth, repair, and maintenance of your body. Meat, fish, eggs, beans, tofu, Greek yogurt are a few food items abundant in protein. There is a daily minimum you need to consume to maintain your health. If you want to grow bigger boobs, your body needs more than this minimum.
Seapoint Farm's edamame spaghetti pasta is loaded with protein! Just in a 2-ounce serving, which is a typical serving size for pasta, there is 24g of protein!!! A 2-ounce serving of any dry, long pasta is about a cup of cooked pasta. The regular processed pasta has 8g of protein per single cup of cooked pasta in comparison. This edamame pasta has 3 times more protein than the standard pasta. It also has high fiber and iron content, while being extremely low on the fat content.
Do you know what this means for lazy Boobinhas out there who hate cooking (and for myself)? It means you can literally open a can of tomato sauce and dump it over this edamame spaghetti pasta and call it a "protein-rich meal"!
I'm kidding, don't do that …that's just wrong…not that I haven't done it before multiple times……
To see the protein content in comparison to some other food items that are considered rich in protein:
chicken breast: 1/2 cup, 21g
salmon: 3.5oz (about 3/4 cup), 23g
egg: 1 count, large, 6g
Greek yogurt (Fage Total 0% Milkfat): 3/4cup, 18g
black beans: 1 cup cooked, 15g
edamame, shelled: 1/2 cup cooked, 11g
So yes, this edamame spaghetti pasta will pack some serious protein and other nutrients in your meals. I highly recommend this if you're a vegetarian/vegan. Even if you're not, why not change your pasta routine and try a healthier, boobs-growth-friendly option from time to time?
How does edamame spaghetti pasta taste?
I made some creamy spinach and salmon using the edamame spaghetti pasta. It was quite delicious!
While searching for edamame spaghetti pasta reviews online, I was quite surprised to find out how many people mentioned that it tastes "just like the real thing."
Okay, I'm going to be a party pooper here, but I'm going to say this…it does NOT taste "just like the real thing," and it never will!!!
Like any other bean pasta I've tried, this edamame spaghetti pasta tastes bean-y (earthy). The texture is also not as smooth and chewy like regular spaghetti pasta. It feels more coarse and crumbly in your mouth.
Don't take me wrong. Both my husband and I thought this pasta tastes great, and we really enjoyed it. Our 2-year-old even loved it! We're already planning to buy more in the future.
We have hardly cooked regular pasta in our household for many years now. We exclusively buy these bean pasta since we first found them. We like how they are nutritious, healthy, and have a slightly bean-y and earthy taste. And again, perfect for those nights when you have no time or energy to cook any elaborate meat or fish dishes.
But I have to admit that I miss the regular pasta with my Bolognese sauce from time to time! No bean pasta, in my opinion, can ever replace the taste and texture of true, high-carbs, and refined pasta that we've always loved to eat. I save that for when we go out!
But why should it taste like the real thing? It doesn't have to try to be something it's not, and we shouldn't expect it to be. It's edamame spaghetti pasta, and it tastes fantastic while it's boosting our bust!
